Lucky Energy Portfolio is comprised of Yunus Energy Limited, Lucky Energy (Pvt) Limited, and Lucky Renewables (Pvt) Limited. which are the subsidiaries of the renowned Yunus Brothers Group (YBG). This portfolio is a leading source of reliable, affordable, and environmentally-friendly energy supply in Pakistan and reflects YBG’s commitment to sustainable development and growth since its inception in 1962. Yunus Energy Limited, established in 2011, and Lucky Renewables, established in 2015, are both 50 MW wind farms located in Jhimphir, District Thatta, in the province of Sindh. Each farm is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including 20 x 2.5 MW Nordex N100 Turbines and 25 x 2 MW SGRE G114 Turbines at Yunus Energy and Lucky Renewables, respectively. In addition, Lucky Energy, a Small Power Producer (SPP) which is in services as a Captive Power Plant, has been in operation since its incorporation in July 1993. With two gas-powered, thermal power generation facilities featuring state-of-the-art Wartsila Engines and Jenbacher Engines, Lucky Energy is dedicated to providing the most sophisticated technology with optimal efficiency. The history of Yunus Brothers Group (YBG) can be traced back to 1962.
The history of Yunus Brothers Group (YBG) can be traced back to 1962 when the foundation of a trading house was laid. The establishment of the fabric trading business house, which turned into one of the largest conglomerates in Pakistan in a period spanning four decades, served as the first milestone in this prolific journey.
Since then, Yunus Brothers Group has established various
other business concerns in Textile, Cement, Construction
and Power Generation sectors and has proved its business
standing in local and international markets by virtue
of its outstanding achievements. It proudly owns one
of the largest cement manufacturing facility and the
largest yarn manufacturing unit in the country.
